About Us

Decade's storefront opened on March 4, 1998 and has grown into a Denver staple over the past 11 years when it comes to finding unique gifts, vintage furniture, clothing, locally-made accessories and housewares. Located 2 blocks south of the Mayan theatre on South Broadway, Decade is situated in the heart of the historic Baker neighborhood, brimming with independent restaurants, music venues, art galleries, bookstores and hipster bars. Decade continues to gain revenue and popularity, and it has come to be known as THE place to buy gifts for baby showers, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and many more special occasions.

Decade-gifts.com donates a small portion of its proceeds from each category to local charities. For example, a portion of all the "for the furry" gift sets will be donated to the Humane Society.

Decade owner Kristen Tait's talent has been awarded by numerous local publications including 5280's Top of the Town for "Top Second-Hand Furniture" (2003, 2004), "Top Bargain Gift Shop" (2004), "Top Fashion Jewelry" (2007), and "Top Maternity" (2008). The store has also been awarded Westword's "Best Paris-Flea-Market-Style Store" (1999), "Best Store Anywhere on Broadway" (2001), "Best Greeting Card Selection" (2003), and the Rocky Mountain News "Top Gift Shop" (2003).
